Millionaire Derek Jeter Had a Close Friendship With a Man Who Treated Michael Jordan to Nearly 150 Suits Despite Claiming He’s “Not a Huge Spender”

The New York Yankees legend, Derek Jeter, is one of the wealthiest retired players in the history of Major League Baseball. He became one by achieving many accolades over the years of his career.

With the achievements came fame, a bigger MLB contract than many, and also became the opportunity to be the face of many brands. But the shortstop was not planning on stopping anytime soon. Since his retirement, his fame has not dropped but only increased with time. Jeter got associated with many huge brands, including Nike, and is still associated with it as well. 

Aside from working with brands, what helped ‘The Captain’ become one of the wealthiest athletes is his business ventures. From his publishing house, called Jeter Publications, to his latest venture, an apparel brand, ‘Greatness Wins,’ everything has contributed to Jeter’s stature today.

But where did he spend his money back in the day? The gentleman answered the question about his spending habits as he sat down for an interview with the entertainment magazine Playboy, back in 2004.

Derek Jeter has never been a huge spender!

Having a net worth of $200 million, the shortstop Derek Jeter must spend it somewhere. When the reporter asked Jeter what he spend his money on, he had a clear and rather contradicting reply. 

“I have a lot of suits. I have a tailor in Chicago. He’s Michael Jordan’s guy, too. But really, I’m not a huge spender,” said Jeter.

With this statement, Jeter said that he cleared the fact that he has never been a huge spender. He also acknowledged the fact that he shared the same tailor as his friend and NBA legend Michael Jordan.

Surely, the Chicago-based tailor, Mr. Alfonso Burdi, would not be charging both the legends the amount which anyone normal person can afford.

Over the years, the shortstop’s name has come up with multiple women, but most of them remained only rumors. But when the reporter at Playboy asked him about how the alleged playboy used to meet women, he had to tell the secret.
