In the tribute, he wrote about the kind of person Bryant was. And also, how he used to put his family before everything. He earned uncountable accolades throughout his career. But the one he was most proud of was being the husband to Vanessa and a father to his girls.
Bryant was a father to four beautiful girls. One of the four, Gianna, was with him in the helicopter that crashed. He was very proud of the family he had, and Jeter wrote exactly that while remembering him. He wrote about how being a dad gave the most happiness to Bryant as it does to him.

“In the moments I got to spend with him? He didn’t really talk about any of that(being a basketball champion). He cared much more about being a husband to Vanessa and a dad to his girls,” wrote Jeter in his tribute.
