A Kobe Bryant Advice to Friend Alex Rodriguez

There are phases where nothing works. A similar thing happened with Alex Rodriguez during the 2012 ALCS against the Detroit Tigers. The Yankees lost the series 4-0, and Rodriguez failed to put any run to his account. But when the entire world was against Rodriguez, Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant supported his friend.

According to ESPN. com, Bryant had a word with Alex before the fourth game of the ALCS. He shared, “You can only control what you can control. You go out there and do the best job you can. If they take you out of the lineup, it’s really on you to be a good teammate and support the other guys, which he’s good about doing.”

I think really the difference is, sometimes he forgets he’s the best. … Where I don’t.” These words from Kobe were in sync with Alex’s glorious career. And even though Alex had a slump, he still had a great season and an equally better MLB career.
