Legends can maintain a friendship, and that too for a long time. This statement has been constantly proved by the NBA and MLB legends Michael Jordan and Derek Jeter. They have been friends since being on top of their respective games. That time was the late nineties. From then till now, it has been more than two decades, and their friendship is stronger than ever.

Post-retirement, both the stars are doing great and enjoying their time with their families. Doing business became just another acumen for them where they are trying to make some things better for society and themselves.

Both players enjoy playing golf post-retirement. But one of them is far better than the other. Earlier this year, an interview with Jeter came out where he got asked about a competition of golf between him and Jordan, and the shortstop had the most cryptic answer for it.

Who, according to Derek Jeter, would have won the Golf competition?

Derek started playing Golf only after his retirement from Major League Baseball. Whereas Jordan has been playing it for years and is far better than Jeter. But when Derek got asked about the winner of a Golf competition between him and his long-time friend, he did not accept defeat, nor did he say who would win.

Talking about who would win, Jeter said“I just started playing Golf when I retired, and then I haven’t played much in the last four years. Plus, I got two girls, four and two and a half. So I don’t have a lot of time to go break it off. He’s been playing his whole life.”

The comment was a fun, yet friendly, taunt toward Jordan. The interview surfaced earlier this year.

Jeter and Jordan were business partners!

During the time Jeter was looking for investors to collect the amount required to buy the Miami Marlins, Jordan had spent a fraction of his fortune to help Jeter in the sale.
