The relationship between baseball legend Derek Jeter and NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan has never remained hidden. Though both athletes have played different games, they have been seen spending time with each other doing leisure activities. 

Their friendship isn’t something that started recently, but it dates back to 1994. Since then, it has only grown stronger after both the star athletes retired from their respective games. They have accomplished the highest honor in their games and are Hall of Famers. 

The shortstop has always remained private with his personal life as much as possible. And remarkably, he was pretty successful at it as well. But somehow, there were some things that got leaked for the fans to know. Just like when the billionaire athlete and good friend of Jeter, Michael Jordan, made his friend and then-fiance Hannah Davis play some games.

Post-retirement, their friendship has only gone uphill, but they both have businesses and other things to keep them busy. Therefore, when they did decide to take time off from their daily routine, the NBA legend, with the MLB icon, and his fiance went away to the Bahamas in 2015.

At the time when Jeter was trying to buy the Marlins, he got short of some funds. It was to the point where Jeter was about to lose out on the whole deal. Therefore, the shortstop’s long-time friend Jordan came to his rescue and spent a fraction of his fortune to help Jeter. After that, Jeter owned 4% of the Marlins, whereas Jordan only owned 1% of it.
