The charm that the shortstop Derek Jeter had was not limited to the baseball world. It spread over to the NBA as well. When Derek was going to wear the Pinstripes for the last time in 2014, NBA legend and four times World Series champion LeBron James came forward with a tribute to the shortstop as he went on to play the last season of his career.

With the boon of playing baseball the way he did, Jeter earned many titles during his 20-year career. The biggest one to this day is still becoming the Hall of Famer, but once, Jeter also became the country’s favorite male athlete.
He got the honor in the year 2011, and NBA legend LeBron James was also in the top 10 of that list. By occupying the top spot, he had dethroned the late Lakers legend, Kobe Bryant, and Golf legend Tiger Woods. As Jeter readied himself to play his last season, King James congratulated the shortstop for all his achievements. In his tribute, he also wished for him to go and get another World Series Ring, but unfortunately, that couldn’t happen.
What did LeBron James say about Derek Jeter?
Aside from wanting Jeter to get another trophy, he called him the “GREAT.” He saluted the Captain for the wonderful career he had and to have an even better final year in the Pinstripes.
S/O and salute the GREAT Derek Jeter on his final run this year in the pinstripes. Congrats get another one this year and go out on top!

LeBron ‘King’ James has always been a fan of baseball. His favorite player is Ken Griffey Jr.
Not only on Twitter, but when it was time for Jeter to stop wearing the Pinstripes, King James took it to his Instagram account to give another tribute to the shortstop.
Fans did not react happily to King James’ tribute to Jeter
Fans were cruel, and they did not decide to hide their true feelings at all.
