Most recently, a 13-time NBA All-Star joined A-Rod in becoming a WNBA owner with his latest move. This comes at a time when the sport continues to grow.

Rodriguez has sat courtside for Lynx games and supported the growth of the team. He even celebrated his daughter Natasha?s big stage moment ahead of a crucial game earlier this month. But now, the NBA legend Dwyane Wade joins the ranks of WNBA ownership alongside A-Rod.

Dwyane Wade has been a longtime supporter of Women?s basketball. The 13-time All-Star and 3-time NBA Champion has supported the WNBA for some time now. But most recently, he took that to a whole different level. The former Miami Heat star has bought a stake in his hometown WNBA team, the Chicago Sky. Furthermore, he shared an emotional tweet to announce the massive decision. Details about his ownership stake and the amount he paid are not known at the moment.

In a video he shared on Twitter, Wade said, ?There?s something special growing in the WNBA. Something even more special growing in my hometown. I am excited to be able to invest in the Chicago Sky. The support is amazing, let?s build Sky-Town.??
