New York Yankees Legend CC Sabathia Responds in Mock Sadness as He Bares the Brunt of a LeBron James Comparison Joke

Having an incredibly successful career in Major League Baseball, CC Sabathia does not need any introduction. Although the former New York Yankees pitcher left the baseball park long ago, most recently, he has been hitting headlines because of a weird comparison with the NBA great LeBron James. 

This took place on the golfing greens while he was enjoying himself with friends. Notably, Sabathia is an avid golfer and hits the greens on a regular basis, to stay fit and have some healthy competition. His most recent outing resulted in an unflattering comparison to James. But the Yankees legend responded to the joke.

CC Sabathia recently participated in a golf tournament hosted by Oncore Golf. An Instagram user named countryclubadjacent released a video of the event with funny commentary. In the video, one of the voices that can be heard says that Sabathia looks like LeBron James if the Los Angeles Lakers star ate a burger after every shot. This was as the Yankees legend took a shot. In an Instagram Story, Sabathia responded while using emojis that expressed mock sadness.

In the story, Sabathia said, “I can definitely have a burger after every shot @countryclubadjacent”, along with sad face emojis. He seemed to be laughing at the joke while also reacting with his own reply. But in the video, he doesn’t react to the comment, while fully focusing on his swing.

Although it may have been an unflattering joke, being compared to James in any way is a rarity. Sabathia is an avid golfer and regularly participates in events. He recently showed up at the Derek Jeter Invitational to play golf for a good cause. But in April this year, he took the green with one of LeBron James’ legendary teammates.

Yankees legend CC Sabathia loves playing golf at the Alpine Country Club in New Jersey. He regularly drops by their golf course and plays a round with his friends. In late April, he played a round with none other than NBA legend Dwyane Wade. Sabathia shared an Instagram post of himself, Wade, and a few other friends at the Club. The Yankees legend takes the green with some big names on a regular basis.
