The MLB analyst and CEO of A-Rod Corp, while talking at length about the reverse side of the earning curve, stumbled upon a strange NBA belief. Robert shared an anecdote on how the NBA shut him down in spite of inviting him.  Midway to teaching the players about money, the program was shut down for reasons that even A-Rod found strange.

The fact that the financial managers did not approve of the players getting educated financially, raised eyebrows. Was it because then “the manager didn’t look so smart”? Rodriguez shared an interesting take on this situation saying, young athletes should “surround themselves with the best people in the world..” He went on to add that “It’s all about alignment.. As an athlete you always put yourself in an uncomfortable position..

As budding athletes reign the diamond in MLB, Alex Rodriguez makes an observation. They are far more ambitious than him when he entered the league in 1994. This led him to talk in detail about another great point about how athletes make great entrepreneurs.

As a real estate company’s CEO, Alex Rodriguez encourages entrepreneurship. Highlighting that “Knowledge is Power”, he draws comparisons between players and business owners. “They are hard workers, they are coachable.. They’re tough and they’re gritty”. This is why he says that Warren Buffet and Tom Brady would make a “great winning combination”.
