Alex Rodriguez, who is always known to go all in no matter what he does, has won hearts again. In a recent display of genuine emotion and true sportsmanship, A-Rod made a gesture like none other. This display was at the Minnesota Timberwolves game against the Denver Nuggets, where the former dismantled the latter with their offensive prowess Monday night.
But this game comes with a pinch of salt. There was an unexpected injury when coach Chris Finch collided with Mike Conley near the end of the Timberwolves’ series-clinching win over the Suns in round one.

As someone who was not healthy, Finch was a spectator in a 2-0 series with Minnesota leading. While there were celebratory moments after the iconic win, Alex Rodriguez took time in the midst of it to visit Finch. As a man ever-so-active on social media, he posted a story that captured an endearing display of smiles between A-Rod and Finch, who was seen taking the support of crutches.

Well, apart from this heartwarming gesture, the win was quite powerful as well. Minnesota was dominant and in control from the beginning. They finally finished in a 106-80 dismantling of the Nuggets in Game 2 of their Western Conference semifinal series in Denver. The win was such that it drew an intriguing comment from the Nuggets’s coach, Michael Malone. His words were, “We got embarrassed in front of our fans.” And just like that, it is worth mentioning that the Timberwolves still haven’t lost in these playoffs.
The Timberwolves have seemingly been doing well in recent times. Unfortunately, this comes at a time when the ownership dispute that Rodriguez is embroiled in remains unresolved. Nevertheless, this does not make him any less involved in the league he is so passionate about (apart from the MLB, of course!).

Well, this was not his first great gesture toward the folks of the NBA. The 6-foot-9 beast of Minnesota was the recipient of the former New York Yankees’ shortstop’s warm embrace. Yes, we’re talking about Naz Reid, the man who dominated Nikola Jokic in game 1 between Denver and Minnesota.
The 48-year-old warmly embraced Reid in a celebratory moment, commending him for his amazing performance. While Rodriguez’s gestures speak volumes, it is also evident that his passion for the world of sports is beyond measure. With that, one can say for sure that he truly lives up to the title of a legend.
