Try and try again, and you will succeed. Alex Rodriguez has taken this saying to heart. The former New York Yankees slugger was one of the best that baseball saw, but his performance can’t all be attributed to raw talent. What fueled his fame was the hard work he put in before each game, trying his best to correct his mistakes. The same zeal has followed him into retirement.

A-Rod explored his other passion, business, after hanging up his cleats in 2016 and has not looked back since. Besides being the CEO and founder of his eponymous company A-Rod Corp, he’s also part owner of Minnesota’s NBA and WNBA teams. But while Rodriguez may be a baseball whiz, smoothly shooting the hoops still eludes him.
