Alex Rodriguez is a renowned figure in the baseball world. But the New York Yankees’ former infielder has also dabbled in other sports. In addition to working out, A-Rod has also been seen playing the occasional round of golf. Once, he even took to the greens alongside golfing icon Tiger Woods before having a special moment with an LA fan.

Rodriguez and Woods have been friends for many years and played rounds together. The Yankees legend has a clear appreciation for the game and even snubbed his World Series appearance in favor of a golfing event. Furthermore, he was even able to show his skills while taking swings alongside Woods.

Alex Rodriguez signed autographs after playing golf with Tiger Woods

In 2020, Alex Rodriguez joined Tiger Woods’ team for the 2020 Celebrity Cup organized by Woods himself. The tournament was a team event, with Woods being one captain and Bubba Watson being the other. Larry Fitzgerald, Oliver Hudson, Blair O’Neal, Michael Pena and Chris Pratt were some of the other names on Team Woods.

After winning the tournament, A-Rod interacted with some of his fans over there and was surprised to see a Yankee supporter from LA. He shared a special moment with the fan while signing autographs. Rodriguez shared a video of the event including that moment on his YouTube channel. 

While signing things, A-Rod said, “Hello, how are you? Hello, Yankee fan in LA?” The baseball legend seemed genuinely impressed to see a fan supporting the Yankees while living in LA. But he continued signing autographs after the moment.

Rodriguez helped Woods win the event over Watson, and the two hugged it out after. What made it even more special was that it was a charity event. The pair of legends played golf, won, and gave back to the community. Furthermore, it showcases a special bond between the two of them. 

A-Rod hit the greens earlier this year

In February, Alex Rodriguez took to the greens to practice his golf swing. The Yankees legend shared an Instagram Story at Silverleaf Country Club in Scottsdale, practicing his golf shots. This was shortly before he made a special appearance at the Phoenix Open later that month. Although he is not a dedicated golf player, Rodriguez wanted to practice his swing a bit before appearing at the major event.
