It was another unforgettable year for Los Angeles Angels star, Mike Trout. The multi-time MVP struggled with consistency at the diamond, finishing the season below expectations. Notably, the 15-time majors champion responded to the Angels faithful’s request to bring his multi-million dollar dream into a reality. The 11 All-Star revealed, “My favorite golfer growing up obviously was Tiger. I thought it would be pretty cool to reach out. We reached out, got a positive vibe when we mentioned it, and got his team down to the site. Once Tiger’s team came down to the site, they loved it. It’s surreal. I mean, it’s friggin’ Tiger!” 

It’s fascinating how a phone call changed it all, with Woods joining the dream, which is now close to reality.

Had Mike Trout not made an effort, the slugger would have been the only one envisioning the dream project, but not anymore. He has the support of Tiger Woods, who believes the project is great and thus has taken the designing role of the Trout National.

An Agreement in Place: What Is the Total Cost of the Entire Project

Notably, ‘Trout National’ is not the only project being worked on in the Vineland. However, it has become the most important one of the Magic Sports Complex to be built at around $350 million, as per courierpostonline.com.

The reason is that Tiger Woods and Mike Trout’s strong understanding of building a golf course has given a new life to the Sports complex planned in 2012 but never took off. It also showed, how strong and impactful the understanding the two sporting legends share. However, this is not all. Notably, this partnership is not limited to the proposed agreement of New Jersey and has gone beyond that.

The journey of partnership that started in Vineland has gone beyond that. Notably, because of  Mike Trout’s investment in TMRW sports, a company whose brainchild is none other than Tiger Woods. With this, the Angels star became the third baseballer to invest in TMRW, after his ex-teammate Shohei Ohtani and Phillies’ Trea Turner. However, the motive behind his agreement was more evident than others.

Given that the first project for TMRW was the tech-infused golf league named TGL, Trout’s inclusion was mandatory. Plus, his love for golf, admiration for Tiger Woods, and an opportunity to share the stage with the other great players added to the case. Moreover, with the league expected to start in early January 2024, it was a perfect opportunity for Trout to relive his golf dream by strengthening his friendship with the golf icon.

It’s strange how a simple contact can change it all. From never meeting to sharing a strong bond and connection, Trout and Woods’s ever-growing friendship is a perfect example. The two are now great friends. In the words of the Angels star, it’s pretty crazy. He shared, “We talk now. I’m starting to get to know him.
