Baseball has seen a number of players leave their mark on the game over the years. Albert Pujols was one such player, having played in the League for 22 years and achieving every possible accolade. He played the majority of his career with the St. Louis Cardinals. Furthermore, he began his career with the team, establishing himself as a star during his time with them. 

Pujols retired after the 2022 MLB season and has since enjoyed doing things that he couldn’t during his career. Most recently he was seen enjoying his retirement while attending a major sporting event live with his girlfriend.

After 22 years of playing baseball, Albert Pujols hung up his cleats and retired. The Cardinals legend has since been enjoying his retirement and doing things that he couldn’t during his career. Most recently he was at the WM Phoenix Open with his girlfriend Nicole Fernandez to watch some golf live. He shared an Instagram Story of himself and Fernandez at the event. 

In the story, he even shared a sneak peek at the pairing dinner available for all attendees. Pujols has been enjoying life after retirement and as of late in particular. The Cardinals legend recently celebrated his 43rd birthday and received a special wish from his girlfriend. He and Fernandez have been dating since last year and confirmed their relationship late in the year.

Furthermore, they also seemed to have gotten married in a private ceremony but neither Pujols nor Fernandez confirmed the fact. Despite having retired in 2022 and leaving baseball for the time being, people will never forget what he has achieved.

Pujols is a near-lock for the Baseball Hall of Fame

Although he has to wait before making the ballot, Albert Pujols is a near-lock for the Hall Of Fame. Over a 22-year career, he piled up the achievements and accolades. Pujols was an 11-time All-Star, 3-time NL MVP, and 2-time Gold Glove winner. Furthermore, he won 2 World Series titles while playing for the Cardinals.

But many fans will remember Pujols for his signature power-hitting. He finished his career with 703 home runs, one of only four people to reach the 700 mark.
