But the Mariners fought back by scoring four runs in the top of the sixth inning. Following on, the team scored four more runs in the eighth and one run in the top of the ninth inning. Eventually, the Mariners defeated the Blue Jays on a 10-9 margin.?

Mariners’ shortstop J.P. Crawford spoke about the victory to ESPN saying, “I was praying to the baseball gods to just let that ball sit.” Second baseman Adam Frazier added saying, “Those are the kind of moments you picture yourself in the backyard when you’re a kid.”
It happened to be the largest comeback margin victory for the Mariners and the entire MLB playoff history. The Mariners will next face the Houston Astros in the postseason.?
