The Dodgers lost to the San Diego Padres in the fourth game of the NLDS, giving them a 3-1 lead, while helping them advance to the NLCS. Naturally, the fans were not happy with such a great team losing out in the NLDS. Therefore, they did call out the people they think is responsible for the Dodgers getting ejected. One of the main targeted persons is the team’s manager, Dave Roberts.?
Roberts received a lot of comments over ‘jinxing’ the team, but many just wanted the management to let Roberts go. But now fans are enraged as speculations of Roberts’ return as a manager are going around.
Will Dave Roberts return as manager of the LA Dodgers?
According to a source, Roberts is expected to make a return as the team’s manager next season. He is ready to begin a three-year contract extension that he signed before this season started.?

Ever since Roberts became the manager in 2016, the team has won a World Series in 2020, but reached the postseason every single season. But Roberts still became the target of fans’ frustration. Fans mostly blamed it on his overconfidence, as even before this season started, he had said that the Dodgers would be winning the World Championship this year.?
His overconfidence might or might not be a problem, that Dodgers, after having 111 wins this regular season, could not even win the NLDS.
What are the fans saying about the expected return of Roberts?
The news, whether true or not, of Roberts coming back next season has surely enraged the fans. Consequently, fans didn’t shied away from sharing their reactions regarding the same. Let’s have a look at some of them-

Perfect manager to have in the event they get to play during another shortened season since that's what it takes for this team to win a WS.
