Alex Rodriguez is known for many things. One of the things that the former baseball player is famous for is his dating history. One of the names on his dating list was actress Cameron Diaz. Even though the duo did not ever confirm their relationship, they were seen together enough to speculate the rumors. Their relationship got the official stamp of it before the rumors of their initial split surfaced on the internet.

Having started dating in the summer of 2010, the two famous individuals were pretty lowkey about their relationship and were quite successful at keeping it private for some time. 

Why did Alex Rodriguez and Cameron sit separately during the US Open in 2010?

Rodriguez and Diaz dated each other from the summer of 2010 to September 2011. In the meantime, they’ve been to various events together. But, they never got snapped together as they tried to keep their relationship under wraps.

Just like that, the couple went to a game of Roger Federer at the US Open but had to sit separately in order to avoid the paps. The two had one strict rule – of not getting snapped together. Since they had to follow the rule, they sat separately at the game.

Their relationship peaked when they got snapped together at the 2011 Super Bowl. In the picture, Diaz was seen feeding popcorn to the baseball star and got snapped at the same time. 

Why did Rodriguez and Diaz break up?

At first, the rumors of their breakup came in early June 2011, but the couple denied those allegations. Then, in September, they parted ways for good. The reason behind their breakup was nothing but both of them being pretty driven for their careers. Diaz was a pretty popular actress at that time, and her only focus was her career.
