Alex Rodriguez, the ever so active on social media legend, recently did it again. He posted a story on Instagram congratulating one of the players on his NBA team. While the Minnesota Timberwolves and Rodriguez are in a situation right now where there’s an issue with ownership, the former Yankees shortstop is leaving no stone unturned to stay connected to his basketball team.
It is no secret that the 14-time All-Star is in an ownership battle over the Minnesota Timberwolves with Glen Taylor. He has been quite vocal about the timing of this feud happening at the worst time. Particularly because the Timberwolves have been doing so well in their recent series. However, despite this situation, A-Rod sheds the spotlight on the newest father of the Timberwolves.

In a congratulatory post for the T-wolves, Rodriguez shed the spotlight on Rudy Gobert. Gobert recently became the father of his first child. On this pleasant occasion, the Minnesota Timberwolves played without him in Game 2 of their best-of-seven second-round playoff series against the Denver Nuggets on Monday night. But the fact that he became a father was not the only reason A-Rod congratulated him.

Gobert was named the DPOY (Defensive Player Of the Year) for the third time. Also, the team led by Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards, the Minnesota Timberwolves, dominated the Denver Nuggets, thrashing them 106-80 to end their run as the current NBA champions.
This victory was special and Wolves coach Chris Finch spoke about the 2-0 lead in the Western Conference semifinals. He expressed, “We’ve had some really good defensive efforts this year. That has to be right up there with the best of them.”

While this was truly a celebratory situation for Rudy Gobert and the team, this was not the only occasion that Alex Rodriguez has dedicated stories to the Wolves. Just a day ago, he shared a story where he went backstage to meet coach Finch, who suffered a knee injury after colliding with Mike Conley near the end of the Timberwolves’ series-clinching win against the Phoenix Suns. This was not it.
The former shortstop for the New York Yankees gave a warm hug to the 6-foot-9 Minnesota beast, Naz Reid. He’s the man who dominated Nikola Jokic in Denver’s opening game against Minnesota. In a joyous moment, the 48-year-old gave Reid a warm embrace and complimented him on his outstanding performance by posting an Instagram story about him as well. Clearly, Rodriguez knows how to congratulate and appreciate—a quality of a true legend.
