

Microsoft released its Flight Simulator in August 2020. The game ended up becoming one of the most innovative games ever released. The newest addition from their 2006 favorite, Flight Simulator X, turned out to be one of the greatest hits in the market. The game redefined quality and scenery. While improving on quality and content, it successfully fulfilled the aim of simulating real-life aviation scenarios.
Right now, the game has some of the biggest and busiest airports in the world. From Great Britain to Santa Monica, Asobo Studio got it all. The beauty of the places in 4K, primarily on Xbox and PC, gives aspiring pilots an experience of a lifetime. In fact, Asobo had scheduled its release on Xbox Series X | S around the summer of this year. Microsoft Flight Simulator became one of the biggest launches of 2020.

Yesterday, in a blog posted by the Microsoft Flight Simulator Team, they informed fans about a new update. The update is now live and plans to fix performance issues based on feedback. Patch 1.14.6.0 is now available for download on Windows Store and Steam from March 26th.

Microsoft Flight Simulator Patch Notes 1.14.6.0
The update improves on the performance and frame rate issues near large airports. According to community feedbacks, unable to maintain quality, players faced frame drops over large cities, mainly Dallas-Ft Worth. They also complained about issues with server requests while attempting to access the in-game menu on flight. The update primarily touches these two sectors, as informed by the team.

They will address the following issues:
- Performance optimizations when flying close to large airports such as Dallas-Ft Worth (KDFW)
- Performance optimizations of server requests when in the menus and during flight

“While this fix may not address all performance related issues we believe this patch will help many of you get back to flying and encourage you to provide feedback on this patch as we continue to improve the sim performance with each future update. Thanks!” addressed the developers.
Based on the fixes provided by the game previously, the reputation says that usually, a set of patch fixes follow another collection of issues. Let’s see if this time Asobo gets it perfect in the first go!
