Mick Schumacher who has impressed everybody after being crowned European Formula 3 champion this year, is already being spoken about as a future Ferrari driver in Formula one.
Of course the rumors and links were inevitable given the history of his father’s(Michael Schumacher) long career with the Scuderia. The former Ferrari driver, Gerard Berger also spoke up about the possibility of Mick Schumacher signing in the very near future.
“Mick Schumacher will be at Ferrari in two years”, said Gerard Berger. “But I do not know yet if he will drive the motorhome or the F1” he joked at the Golden Helm awards.

The German has indeed enjoyed a successful 2018 campaign, especially in the second part of the season winning 7 out of 12 races which has led to his rival, Dan Ticktum to cast doubts over his abilities.
In 2019 Mick Schumacher will step up his resume to include Formula 2 with the Prema Powerteam, and he has already been testing it out in Abu Dhabi and has been gaining respectable results.

“Seriously, Michael’s son in the second part of the season has impressed me”, said Berger. “They say he went strong because he had the best material, but I saw him winning in the wet too”, he added. “And has the opportunity to grow in F2”, he continued. “Obviously everyone’s dream is that in a couple of years he can sit behind the wheel of his father’s car”, said Berger voicing everyone’s opinions.
