If Jrue Holiday does decide to get out of New Orleans Pelicans, one of the places that he might end up could be Miami Heat.

A few days back, rumours of the Pelicans putting Holiday up for trade came up.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic now, Miami would be a suitable destination for Holiday. Before the start of the season, Pelicans and Holiday would have wanted to get a play-off berth. But things didn’t pan out as they would have wanted. With Pelicans off to a disappointing start to the season and the trade window now being open, Holiday might look for options among the teams in contention for play-off spots.

Holiday has just over a year left in his contract with the Pelicans. He will be free agent in 2021, before which he will be looking to make a mark in his career.

If he does join Miami before the trade deadline, he’ll be a good addition to the side that will be expecting to make it to the play-offs. Holiday could play alongside the likes of Jimmy Butler, making them stronger for the play-offs.
