Argentinian superstar Lionel Messi has been in fine form for his club. The playmaker set yet another record in his Barcelona career. He has become the first player to score 30+ goals in seven different seasons in La Liga.
The milestone was reached when he scored a hat-trick against Deportivo And Barcelona wrapped up the title with a 4-2 win.
Goal number 30 was in the 38th minute when a Luis Suarez cross found Messi and he volleyed it home. Barca went 2-0 lead following Philippe Coutinho’s early opener.

Depor pulled the game back to 2-2, courtesy goals from Lucas Perez and Emre Colak.
With eight minutes left on the clock, Messi fired another back before linking up with Suarez again for a hat-trick.
The treble meant that Messi is ahead of Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in the Golden Shoe race. The Argentine is now on 32 league goals for the season, compared to Salah’s 31.
Messi first struck 30 La Liga goals during the 2009-10 campaign and he passed that milestone again in the following three years.

He barely missed out on the milestone in 2013-14, but picked up again in 2014-15 when he rattled in 43 goals in 38 appearances.
Last season, the 30-year-old hammered in 37 goals in 32 outings. Now, he has reached the 30-goal mark once again with his effort against Deportivo.
The Riazor is Messi’s favourite ground to score at after going past his Santiago Bernabeu tally. So it isn’t surprising that he banged in so many goals.

In total, Messi has netted 13 goals at Deportivo’s home – two more than the number he has scored at the home of Barca’s arch-rivals Real Madrid.
Barcelona, have never lost in a La Liga match this season. The Spanish giant knew that a even a draw was enough to secure the league title. But with Messi in the ranks, everyine knew that they wanted to go one better.
