The Mercedes team couldn’t stop themselves from throwing some shade at their rival McLaren. Through a cheeky Twitter post, the Silver Arrows roasted the Woking-based team for having the same livery for the upcoming championship.
Notably, McLaren wasn’t able to change its design as much as the other teams on the circuit. As expected, Twitter reactions to the car launch haven’t been kind to the team either as fans were disappointed that the team didn’t bring something different to the grid.
However, even though the design hasn’t changed, their lineup has. The team brought in Daniel Ricciardo to help them push for the title in the 2021 season. He will be paired up alongside Lando Norris in his debut season.

In an interview with Motorsport.com, as quoted by planet F1, Wolff said, “No, no doubt about his commitment, “First of all, he enjoys racing a lot. We enjoy working with each other and we discussed that a lot, but he’s absolutely right. Times change.”
He added, “I think it’s fair enough for a driver that has won seven Championships to give himself the flexibility in his mind to decide what he wants to do in the future. Whether this is racing or outside of the circus.”
The Brackley-based team will aim for their eighth title in the upcoming season, and with a talented driver lineup in the form of Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton, they look like the favorites to do so.
