Kalen DeBoer and his wife Nicole DeBoer got married on December 29, 2001, in Savior’s Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. They call them falling in love, “love at first sight”. She was born in the year 1978 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was raised by her parents namely, Terry and Lori Tendler. As she grew up, she witnessed her rising passion for basketball. She was not just good at basketball but she was also academically brilliant as a student as she received a quality education in South Dakota, which made a strong base for her future education.

Nicole has a degree in fitness management as she graduated in the year 2001 from Augustana University, which is situated in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This degree proved her love for fitness and athleticism. She did not just stop there. During her college years, she showcased her love for basketball by being a very active member of the university’s basketball team. Well, her love for sports and the value of understanding what the world of sports looks like is another valuable addition to Kalen’s and Nicole’s successful and beautiful marriage.

Though Nicole could not extend her love for basketball after her graduation as she picked up the role of being an amazing homemaker and mother of two lovely daughters, Avery and Alexis DeBoer. Despite all the difficulties, Kalen never fails to appreciate Nicole for what he has done in the marriage and also by standing as the unwavering support pillar since the very beginning.

Kalen and Nicole are blessed with two beautiful daughters out of their marriage, Alexis and Avery. Avery is the younger daughter, who is often seen enjoying horseback riding. Whereas the older daughter Alexis is in the athletic footsteps of her mother and father, she joined Washington’s softball program last year and is excelling as an infielder who batted .634 in her senior year at Bellevue High, Washington. The journey is going to be beautiful for her as Kalen coached the Univerity of Washington before transferring to Alabama, which is indeed a plus point for her daughter Alexis.

Kalen is often seen posting about his wife and daughters on his Instagram account and even publicly never fails to appreciate the efforts that his family makes. In 2023 on daughter’s day, Kalen also posted a beautiful picture with both of his daughters wishing and announcing how lucky he is to have them. He captioned the post as “Lucky to have 2 amazing daughters! Love you both! #NationalDaughtersDay”.
