“Ban Him!”: Cuba Fan’s Notorious World Baseball Classic Antics Trigger Fans Once Again

With the World Baseball Classic underway, baseball fans have been treated to some great competitive action. This comes after a long off-season break and months of waiting. Competition is fierce and fans are passionate as their nations compete to win the prestigious title. There are several teams that look like favorites to win the World Baseball Classic, but upsets are always possible in such a big tournament. 

Fans have shown up in droves to see their home nations compete and support them through this challenging tournament. One fan went viral for his antics during his nation’s first game. Most recently, he triggered baseball fans once again with an energetic display.

The viral Cuban fan and his horn make a return at the World Baseball Classic

During the World Baseball Classic opener between Cuba and The Netherlands, a Cuban fan irritated the MLB world with his antics. He blew a very loud horn while celebrating Cuba’s first strikeout. Many were hoping that he wouldn’t appear at future games, but he is back. Most recently, he was seen at Cuba’s game against Panama, waving his country’s flag, blaring his horn, and dancing. FOX Sports: MLB shared a video of the Cuban superfan on Twitter. 

In a Tweet, FOX Sports: MLB said, “HE’S BAAAAAACK”. The Cuban fan was back and at it with full energy. He seemed eager to watch his nation compete and look for their first win.

The reactions to this Cuban superfan have been negative. Some fans asked for him to be banned. Others wished for the chaotic celebrations to stop. There was a general irritation with his exuberant display. 

Notably, the World Baseball Classic is a breath of fresh air as fans get to see their favorite stars suit up. Furthermore, supporters see a different side of the game as players fight to bring home the trophy.
