Max Verstappen was on a pretty decent lap at the qualifying session at the Marina Bay Grand Prix Circuit. However, he had to abort his pole position attempt to reserve fuel for the FIA’s mandatory fuel test.
Verstappen was one course to obliterate Leclerc’s provisional pole time. However, a mistake in the 3rd sector meant he had to abort the lap and push for a final flying run. On his final run, he was again up on Leclerc’s time. Nevertheless, his team asked him to box.

As you’d expect, Verstappen was not aware of why he was being called into the pits. This led a confused and annoyed Max Verstappen to come onto the radio and question his team’s decision.
Verstappen on team radio:
"What the f***. What the f*** are you guys saying?
"Unbelievable mate, I don't get it. What the f*** is this about?"

Verstappen could become World Champion come the end of Sunday’s Singapore Grand Prix. However, he needs to win the race with the fastest lap and hope that Leclerc finishes 9th or lower. But with him starting 8th of the Grid and Leclerc on pole, this seems highly unlikely. This didn’t stop the fans from making a meme out of this Red Bull qualifying fiasco.
