I don't think Ashe stadium has a cooling system as good as @AustralianOpen. So, @bgtennisnation is right, it will cool of a bit, but …

After saying all the above – heavy spin looks slow in these elements. So like @bgtennisnation said – huge moisture buildup in this big arena – and I have to think it's effect the spinning bal – looks like it's really "hanging" in the air with spin. But flat cuts thru fast – FELT.

The play was followed by an 8-minute delay since the roof had to be closed due to rain. It raised the humidity level in the Arthur Ashe Stadium and discomforted the players. Thereafter Berrettini was dominant with his service games, but couldn’t overpower Monfils and just by clinging to his serves, Gael took the quarterfinal encounter to the fifth set.
Set five
Berrettini began by taking a 2-0 lead and down-the-line backhand winner on the break point, but with Monfils refusing to give up, he was back on serve at 2-2.

Sometimes, the best #USOpen dramas don’t always happen on championship Sunday. Indeed, we saw the thrill of victory & the agony of defeat play out over nearly 4 hours – but we also saw two great competitors share a heartfelt hug at the net afterwards. Thank you, Gaël and Matteo. https://t.co/BhNvKhdwpF pic.twitter.com/wnTZH7hkP9
