The announcement of the league comes shortly after the report that cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne are set to launch a new T20 league for former international cricketers over a three-and-a-half-year period, with the United States to host the first series in September.
The official release of Master Champions League (MCL) said, “A first of its kind, MCL is likely to involve veterans of cricket, in some capacity a number of high-profile former international cricketers from around the world. MCL has been formally approved by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB), which makes it official for the International Cricket Council (ICC) as well.”
