Twitch data breach includes basically everything about the platform

The 125 GB worth of files has probably every bit of information about the platform. However, the poster shared on 4chan stated that this leak’s just the first part. So, it looks like the hacker might have information about the millions of Twitch users as well. This includes personal details like emails, passwords, and many more.

The hacker has currently released some major information about the platform’s creators. This includes their earnings, which fans can easily access to learn about their favorite streamers’ earnings from 2019. Other than that, the files also include the all-important source code of the Amazon-owned platform with commit history going back to its early days as well. The code also includes proprietary SDKs and internal AWS services used by Twitch. Plus, it also has data on the company’s other properties, like CurseForge and IGDB.

It’s probably one of the biggest leaks in the history of gaming and video streaming as well. With information about the entire company and its workings, it seems like Twitch has a serious problem at hand. Many of its creators have already mentioned how the platform has rarely taken action for many of its issues. However, with a leak of this magnitude, and allegedly more to come, it remains to be seen how the Amazon-owned platform copes with this catastrophe.
