While we are busy talking about Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which was one of the most anticipated games for PlayStation 5 this year, its predecessor has just crossed a significant milestone. The 2018 PS4 title, Marvel’s Spider-Man, has now sold over 20 million copies worldwide.

The remastered version of the PS4 hit title is currently available as a part of the Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition.

David Bull, the global marketing leader at PlayStation, posted an update on LinkedIn, stating this accomplishment. He posted his major achievements in Sony, including Spiderman’s sales reports. His post reads:

“Broke sales records with a recognized marketing campaign for Marvel’s Spider-Man. Sold 3.3MM units sold in the first three days, and over 20 million units globally.”

The last reported sales figures for the title were 13.2 million units sold globally, back in August 2019. This is according to the reports by Gamesindustry.biz. However, these current sales figures have made the PS4 Spider-Man one of Sony’s best-selling titles.

Now, we know that the PS4 Spiderman title never went out of popularity. However, the reason we are seeing a surge in the title’s sales in the past couple of months is probably because of the release of the Miles Morales title. Another major reason could be the PS5 remastered version of the 2018 hit title, which is, again, a part of the Miles Morales Ultimate Edition.
