Marco Asensio was certainly the man to look out for at the UEFA European Under-19 Championship. Having impressed for Spain in the tournament, Asensio has bigger tasks to focus on now.
The No. 10 who plays as an attacking midfielder, scored two important goals in the tournament and guided his country to claim the top spot.
Real Madrid bought the youngster last year in November for a €3.9 million fee from Mallorca. Asensio was always considered to be a great prospect and Madrid knew so.
The board also knows that Asensio will be needing some minutes to prove his worth and hence have decided to send the player on loan.
Apparently, offers from around 20 clubs have come in wanting the player to play for them with Espanyol being the favorites after the arrival of Kiko Casilla at the Bernabeu.
