During a Bundesliga match between Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig, Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer pulled off an incredible save. The player on the other end of the strike was Marcel Sabitzer, from fairly far out and the ball was a rocket. After the match, the shot-stopper admitted that his team were lucky not to lose. This was because RB Leipzig held them to a 1-1 draw to stay top of the Bundesliga.
This showdown was the second of two top-of-the-table clashes on Saturday, with Borussia Dortmund being the other. Leipzig survived a first half onslaught and equalised through an Emil Forsberg penalty. This left the Bayern team frustrated, and in turn, fuelled hopes of a three-horse title race in the German league this season.
“We made too many mistakes in the second half. It could easily have been a defeat,” Neuer told Sky.
