Norwegian grandmaster Magnus Carlsen has reclaimed the world chess championship title after beating Sergey Karjakin in tiebreakers by a landslide margin. The Norwegian had to battle hard especially in round 8, but persevered to come back strong and become the world champion on his 26th Birthday. In what was the first world championship in New York since 1995, Carlsen and his opponent Karjakin, also 26, became the youngest pair to face off in the world championship.
Let’s take a look at how twitter reacted to the Norwegian winning his third world chess championship :
Enhorabuena, @MagnusCarlsen. De nuevo campeón del mundo.
¡Te esperamos en el Bernabéu! / Champion once again. See you at the Bernabéu.
