Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski has been tipped for a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray this summer for a fee reported to be in the region of £2 million. The want-away German striker was loaned to Inter Milan for the second half of last season and could secure a permanent exit from North London in a few weeks.
Podolksi’s agent Nassim Touihri was quoted as saying :

“We had very good talks with Wenger, he wanted to keep Lukas, but couldn’t give him a guarantee that he will be starter. That’s why we agreed on a transfer.”

Podolski has been vocal about his lack of playing time at Arsenal and is keen to join Galatasaray.
“I would like to play for Galatasaray,” the 30-year-old told the Turkish giants’ official website. “They have great fans and I have had a huge response from them on social media.”

Podolski had started 16 league games on the bench for Arsenal before sealing a loan move to Italy. It was reported that Inter Milan had an option to make the loan deal permanent but opted not to do so. Podolski went on to make 18 appearances for the San Siro outfit scoring just one goal.
