Real Madrid have finally got their hands on Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jović in a €60 million move. The 21-year old has become hot property in the transfer market after a remarkable season at Frankfurt and has reportedly been signed on a five-year contract with the Spanish giants.

Several top European clubs were bidding for his signature, including the likes of Chelsea and Barcelona, but it looks like Real Madrid have won the race to land the Serbian international, according to Sky Sports.

Luka Jović has scored 27 goals for Eintracht Frankfurt this campaign, a season in which he also saw his loan move from Portuguese club Benfica turn permanent. Frankfurt have had a brilliant season both domestically and in Europe and Jović has been the key man for the German outfit.

He not only scored important goals against Inter Milan and Chelsea in Frankfurt’s semi-final run in the Europa League but could also lead his team to a potential Champions League qualification if results were to go in their favour this weekend.

Zinedine Zidane, on the other hand, will be excited at the prospect of signing Jović, who would bolster their attack after an awful season at the Santiago Bernabeu. With Karim Benzema ageing and Gareth Bale set to leave, the three times Champions League winner will look to revamp his squad ahead of next season.

Luka Jović might just be the first in a long list of transfers planned by club president Florentino Pérez, who wishes to turn this lack-lustre Real Madrid team into a European force once again.

The Serbian is only 21 years of age, and could help kickstart a new dawn at the Bernabeu with youngsters like Vinicius Jr. and Marco Asensio already proving themselves at the club.
