The Solheim Cup is just a week away. And the women’s Team USA will compete against Team Europe at Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio, from September 4 to 6. Moreover, it is one of the most prestigious events in women’s golf, similar to the Ryder Cup in the men’s competition. And recently, both sides have announced their 12 members’ team.
Meanwhile, top golfers from the USA and Europe will lock horns against each other for three days. Furthermore, both the teams have a captain who takes all the important decisions. This year, Pat Hurst is the captain of the team U.S., while Catriona Matthew is the skipper for team Europe.

Both the team USA and Europe have finalized their 12 member team for the upcoming Solheim Cup. Team Europe had six automatic qualifications while the USA had nine automatic qualifications. Meanwhile, Catriona Matthew and Pat Hurst completed the task by picking up the remaining spots through the captain’s pick.
Meanwhile, Team Europe is the defending champion and will look to retain the cup with them for this time as well. But this year, the Team U.S. this year looks much stronger than the last time. The team has the world no.1 Nelly Korda, Lexi Thompson, Jessica Korda, and a few more prominent players.
However, Team Europe is no less with talents like Nanna Koerstz Madsen, Madelene Sagstrom, Mel Reid, and a few others. The format of play is similar to that of the Ryder Cup, with eight four-balls and eight foursomes on the first two days of the event. Furthermore, on the final day, there will be 12 players single stroke event to finish off the event.
