The 2022 LPGA Tour season kicked off last week with the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions. And Danielle Kang managed to win the event with a score of -16, while the runner-up, Brooke Henderson, remained -13. Moreover, in the celebrity division, Derek Lowe emerged as the champion in the playoff against Annika Sorenstam.
Meanwhile, Nelly Korda, who was the leader for the majority of the event, finished T-4; while the defending champion Jessica Korda carded -8 to finish in 7th place. Danielle Kang won the first event of 2022 by three strokes. However, the conditions were slightly trickier due to cold and cloudy weather. But still, we saw some incredible shots from players like Gaby Lopez, Celine Boutier, Yuka Saso, and of course, the winner, Danielle Kang. So let us have a look at it.

Firstly, the Mexican golfer, Gaby Lopez, chipped the ball from around the greens on the 7th hole. She tried the bump and run and allowed the slope on the green to take the ball inside the hole. Then we saw a monstrous driver from Celine Boutier reach the green in one on the 14th hole.

Moreover, Gaby Lopez once again chipped in from around the greens, this time on the 18th hole. Additionally, we even witnessed an incredible eagle on a par 4, 14th hole as Yuka Sako holed out in her approach shot itself. She used her wedge perfectly to create a backspin, and even though the ball landed past the hole, it came back sharply and went inside the cup.
Finally, there was a long hole out from Danielle Kang. She completed an eagle as she flushed her approach shot with an iron on the 7th hole and managed to get the ball inside the cup.
