Gaby Lopez is a Mexican golfer who is currently competing at the CME Group Tour Championship. Moreover, she had an excellent start to the final event of the LPGA Tour. Lopez carded 6-under par 66 with seven birdies and a bogey in the first round on Thursday.

However, the Mexican golfer spends some time looking back, instead of moving forward to the next round. Regardless of how she performs, she tries to do it every single day, as she believes it helps her stay grounded and motivated.

Gaby Lopez reveals her secret of staying grounded and motivated
After an excellent start to the CME Group Tour Championship, Gaby revealed the reason. She said, “I like to journal a lot. I journal pretty much every day. I’m finishing up my third [journal], have probably a total of 12. I like to see myself back when I was struggling.”

“What did I do to get out of the struggle? I like to see what I was doing when I was playing well or mentally good,” said Lopez. “I like to question myself all the time.”
Moreover, Gaby said sometimes she tries to perform for the surrounding people and that’s where journaling helps her. She looks at what she did to be okay with who she was, which is a great thing. Furthermore, she also revealed that she has found a hobby while on this journey. “I’m a writer. I love to write things down,” Lopez said.

Gaby is currently competing in the third round. As of now, she is tied at sixth place and is -10 thru five holes. Furthermore, there are around five players with a score of -10, which means the final round of this event is going to be a cliffhanger. Moreover, Jin Young Ko is currently the leader who is -15 thru 8 holes.
