The 2022 LPGA Drive on Championship is currently underway in Florida. The Crown Colony Golf & Country Club is the host of this third LPGA Tour event of the season. Notably, Danielle Kang and Lydia Ko have won the first and second LPGA Tour events, respectively.

Some of the top players in the field this week are Lexi Thompson, Nelly Korda, and Danielle Kang, among a few others. However, sadly, Jessica Korda earlier withdrew from the event due to an injury.

2022 LPGA Drive on Championship prize money purse

The 2022 LPGA Drive on Championship has a prize money purse of $1.5 million. Moreover, the winner of the event will receive $225,000, which is the standard 15 percent payout according to the LPGA Tour’s prize money distribution chart.

Notably, apart from monetary benefits, as usual, there are plenty of other perks for the winner. The winner will receive 500 Race to the CME Globe points, which will help them get into the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship. Furthermore, the winner will also get a two-year exemption on the LPGA Tour and direct qualification in other big tournaments.

Additionally, the field has 120-players this week competing in the event. However, only the top 70 and ties will make it to the weekend as there will be a cut line after 36-holes. Hence, the players will get filtered out before we get into rounds three and four. It is crucial to note that only the players making it to the weekend will receive a share from the $1.5 million prize purse.
