One of the biggest events in women’s golf just concluded last night. The Solheim Cup was won by the Europeans for the seventh time in history, as they beat Team USA 15-13. The Americans were expected to dominate on home soil, but they fell short. Following the defeat, Jessica Korda posted a bold tweet responding to all the hate messages and criticism.
The Solheim Cup 2021 marked just the second occasion where Team Europe won the cup on American soil. Hence, it marked a historic triumph for the Europeans, who retained the Solheim Cup at the Inverness Club in Ohio.
Team USA struggled to get to a good start on Day 1. They accumulated zero points in the Saturday foursomes and later tied 2-2 with the Europeans in the Saturday four-ball format. USA performed well on Sunday and Monday (final day), but it was not enough for them to secure victory.

Jessica Korda hits out at haters following Solheim Cup defeat
Team USA received massive support at the Inverness Club over three days. Fans were awaiting a huge victory, but it, unfortunately, went the other way. While the defeat indeed turned sour, some of the fans instantly threw criticism at the American golfers for underperforming.
This did not strike well with 28-year-old Jessica Korda. She could not fathom some of the hate comments that Team USA was receiving. Of course, the fans were with them during their highs but failed to stick around when they were experiencing a low.
So much hate on Twitter. Look in the mirror and ask yourself if you’d speak to your loved ones the way you speak to us. Think twice before you tweet. And stop hiding because we can see you. #haveRESPECT

“Stop hiding because we can see you,” Korda wrote in a tweet, calling out all the haters. She was livid with a particular set of fans who went against them after the tough defeat. However, Korda just did not erase the loyal fans out of her memory. She expressed her gratitude to that lot.

The Korda sisters played well in the three-day tournament. However, Team USA could not match up to the might of the Europeans and succumbed to defeat in a dramatic fashion.
