The talk of the town at the Big Apple is Aaron Rodgers at the present moment. With the New York Jets trading a big chunk of their future picks in order to bring the Green Bay Packers QB onto their roster, it was bound to happen. This also means that many players with the Jets and Giants will be overshadowed by the off-season arrival of Rodgers.
The arrival of Daniel Jones similarly took the backseat with all the hub-hub around A-Rod. This is after Jones and the Giants agreed to his mega contract in March 2023 which was subsequently signed & sealed. Although Rodgers has earned the affection and attention of most of the city, it might not be the case forever as the season starts and performances start taking center stage.

Daniel Jones is unbothered
It is never easy to settle into a new team, nor is it easy to retain the aura from your previous stint. Aaron Rodgers has not only maintained his aura but has set up a dominating impression as well. This has seemingly put his new teammates and rivals under his shadow because of his switch. One such rival from New York Giants seems unfazed by it. Daniel Jones in an interview with the New York Post said, “I’m not worried about that,” “[I’m] just focused on what we’re doing here.”

Jones is one of the most important players for the Giants and one that they have a lot of hope for. He played a crucial role in helping the Giants win the Wild Card Playoff game in 2022. Jones is not concerned with the situation on the east side of Rutherford and is focussing on the Giants.

Greenhorn in the Big Apple, a savory combination?
As Rodgers has just made the switch to the Jets, every media coverage is good coverage for him. He has been at the forefront of every NFL headline and has swooped almost all the spots on the back pages. But Jones believes it won’t last forever, as he believes, you are the star of the media capital until you are not. One mistake and it will all change on its head.

Rodgers as a Packers trade, is still new to the city and to the way the city hails its stars. Jones on the other hand has seen it all and has managed to adapt to this situation like Eli Manning. With Aaron Rodgers as the new star in town, it has driven away the attention to the New York Jets. But Jones is confident in his ability to take on the greenhorn and stand tall till the end.
