Gabe Newell goes with Xbox over PS5

The Valve co-founder was recently on a television show in New Zealand called The Project NZ. Being a huge influence in the world of gaming, he had to face the inevitable question as to which upcoming console he thinks is better. Without a second thought, he said, “Xbox.”

When the interviewer asked why, he simply replied, “Because it is.

He goes on to add, however, that he has no stake in the race, whatsoever, and that Valve and Steam cater to PCs.

“But of the two, I would definitely go with the Xbox.

This, of course, has got Xbox fans cheering as they have someone as big as Gabe Newell on their side of the fence. Something they needed after Dominos unleashed a sick burn on the fans.

Some couldn’t help but compare this with Epic Games founder, Tim Sweeny choosing PS5 over the Xbox Series X. But then again, Sony has recently become a current investor for Epic and that makes the two situations different.
