How to get roommates for villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
Players would need the Happy Home Paradise DLC in order to build houses for villagers. Fans will have an entirely new Island to build these homes for the villagers. Along with that, they can even unlock facilities like School, Cafe, Restaurant, and many more, as extra services. However, this also provides them with a chance to pair up roommates, which was never possible before.
For this to work, players will need to have developed 15 Happy Homes for villagers. They can then interact with the villagers on the Island, and present them with the proposal to live with a roommate. Once they agree, players can try to convince characters to be a roommate by interacting with them. However, they can make their lives even easier by using the Amiibo Scanner in the Paradise Planning Office to summon a specific villager to be the roommate.

Meeting up with the roommates
Once that’s done, the two villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons will then meet up and have a chat in the presence of the player. Once they gel with each other, they will agree to be roommates and stay together under the same roof. After they head home, players can remodel and redecorate the house to make it a bit more spacious, and add partition walls for them to live separately under the same house. They can even change the name of the house as well.

After a cute little cut-scene involving the two villagers being together is shown, the process is now complete. Players can try this with multiple characters and pair their favorite villagers. This is only available for players with the Happy Homes Paradise DLC currently. However, fans hope that these features move over to their base Animal Crossing Island soon.
