The english club, Liverpool FC have been on the lookout for a midfielder and are keeping their eyes on Internazionale midfielder Hernanes. The club has been looking for a replacement ever since their faithful legend, Steven Gerrard decided to move away from the Premier League to play for Los Angeles Galaxy in the MLS.
There has been no player comparable to the Merseyside born player, and Brendan Rodgers has been at fixes on how it might affect the team on a whole, as they would now require a player who can drive the team on his own. They found something similar in Inter’s midfielder, Hernanes and Brendan Rodgers doesn’t seem like he wants to let go of the Brazilian national.
The 30 year old is experienced and has the capability to understand the game very well. He has had over 25 games with the Brazilian National side and has exceptional dribbling abilities along with his long shooting. He also likes to pas the ball around, and is capable of holding the ball in the midfield. These make him suitable for any midfield position and can be seen playing from Central Defensive, to the attacking midfield position. This quality of his has seen him being compared to Pirlo and Kaka, the latter of whom he has a close friendship with. Apart from playing for Inter, he has also played for Lazio and Sao Paulo. He was one of the best midfielders in Europe for a time period, and Lazio fans protested when he was being sold to Inter.
The player won’t come cheap, as Inter would obviously seek to make profit from the £14million they paid for him 2 years ago.
Liverpool had also been looking for another Inter forward, Mateo Kovacic, but his high demand for transfer fee made the Liverpool boss consider other options. Another midfielder, who had been on the radar as a replacement, Kondogbia was linked with Arsenal and Liverpool, but he snubbed both these clubs to join Inter this transfer season.
