Liverpool has announced the signing of Burnley striker Danny Ings, subject to a medical.
Ings was also linked with Manchester United and Real Sociedad, but the striker has agreed personal terms with Liverpool.
The 22 year old, whose contract expires this summer will be the second free-agent to be signed by Brendon Rodgers, following the arrival of James Milner from Manchester City.

Danny Ings enjoyed a impressive first season in Premier Legaue with Burnley scoring 11 goals, even though Burnley got relegated.
A statement on the club’s official website read: “Liverpool FC are delighted to announce that they have agreed personal terms with Danny Ings and, subject to a medical, the striker will join the club on July 1 after his contract with Burnley has expired.”
The striker is set to represent England at under 21 European Championship.

A statement on Burnley’s official website read: “Burnley Football Club can confirm that Danny Ings has today agreed personal terms with Liverpool Football Club and, subject to a medical, will complete a move to Merseyside on July 1.
“Burnley Football Club has rejected an offer made by Liverpool, but will continue to have dialogue with the club in order to reach a resolution over the fee.”
