Max Verstappen takes the Pole position for the Miami GP
Max Verstappen takes the pole with his banker lap as none of the Top 3 improved on their final laps. the track seemed to have gotten away from them. Perez and Norris improved on the final laps and will start P4 and P5 respectively. Oscar Piastri P6, George Russell P7, Lewis Hamilton P8, Nico Hulkenberg P9 and Yuki Tsunoda completes the Top 10
Final Laps in Q3 are underway. Will Charles Leclerc be able to beat Max Verstappen to pole?
3 minutes to go, the cars are out on track. Ferrari was ready to go out but waited for some other teams to get out ahead in front of them. Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc can beat Max Verstappen's banker lap time, but if the Dutchman improves, he will take the pole.

First runs of Q3 are done with 6 minutes left on the clock. Max Verstappen set the fastest lap time but Leclerc is close, just 1 tenth behind him. Carlos Sainz P3, Oscar Piastri P4, Sergio Perez P5. Lando Norris' Medium Tire strategy doesn't seem to work as he's P6. P7 and P8 are occupied by the Mercedes duo. Hulkenberg and Tsunoda P9 and P10 respectively.

Green light in the pitlane an immediately everyone is out in the pitlane to get out on the track. Everyone is out on the soft tires but Lando Norris has opted for the medium tires to avoid overheating. The McLaren driver set his fastest lap time in the Sprint qualifying yesterday on the medium tires
Q3 is underway, who will take the pole?
Track Temperature is coming down. Compared to the start of the session when it was 50 degrees Celsius, it is now down to 46 degrees. Air temperature remains the same at 29 degrees Celsius. The cooler temperatures will help the driver a little bit, but we still expect to hear complains about tire wear.
Chequered Flag, Q2 is done, Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll out
Disaster for Aston Martin in Q2 after a disastrous Sprint race where Lance Stroll retired and Alonso was sent to the back of the grid. Now both Aston Martins are out in Q2. Elimination Zone Q2: P11 Lance Stroll, P12 Pierre Gasly, P13 Esteban Ocon, P14 Alex Albon, P15 Fernando Alonso
Finals laps of Q2 underway, Lewis hamilton and Fernando Alonso need to find an improvement
Fernando Alonso is in the drop zone and is one of the first drivers out on track. Lewis Hamilton making it onto the track. Both F1 champions need to find an improvement if they want to make it to Q3. However, both of them haven't had a great weekend yet
Both Aston martins in drop zone after first runs of Q2
Drop Zone with 5 minutes to go: Esteban Ocon, Lewis Hamilton, Lance Stroll, Fernando Alonso and Alex Albon. Charles Leclerc currently has the fastest time followed by Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. Norris' lap however has been deleted. Alex Albon complained of not being able to make his tires last for more than 6 corners

All 15 cars are out on the track at the same time. Both Red Bulls are out on used soft tires whereas the Mercedes opt for new soft rubber. Verstappen setting purple sectors as we speak. Like ly to go to the top of the timing sheets, despite being on used tires

Green lights in the pitlane. Unlike the Q1 session, no one is out on track early. All the cars sitting in their garages waiting for the clock to tick down. Daniel Ricciardo Eliminated in Q1, Fernando Alonso just makes it to Q2
Daniel Ricciardo after an amazing performance in the Sprint to finish P4 had a disappointing end to the qualifying session as he was eliminated in Q1. Busy Tack, Logan Sargeant blocked by Yuki Tsunoda
Logan Sargeant on a fast lap was trying to set a lap time to get out of the drop zone but was blocked by Yuki Tsunoda, who was slow and hugging the apex after the long back straight. Logan was super vocal about his complaint on the radio suggesting the Japanese driver ruined him.
Max Verstappen goes to the top after reporting trouble with his clutch
Max Verstappen reported a problem with his clutch as he left the pitlane and asked his engineer to check the same. The clutch is alright and Max Verstappen sets the fastest lap time of the session with a 1:28:023, over a tenth faster than Carlos Sainz

Lewis Hamilton was seen complaining about his car during the Sprint race but it seems like the changes made after the Parc Ferme was opened has worked for the 7X champ as he reports to his team that the grip was good on his first lap in Q1
Higher track temperatures compared to the Sprint Race
Cars struggled with Tirewear at the Sprint Race earlier today. With the track temperatures being even higher, they might struggle even more. Track Temperature currently touching 50 degrees celsius with air temperature of 29 degrees celcius
