But for the first time, it has a serious competitor in the Riot Games developed title, Valorant and popular streamer Shroud believes that it has overtaken it.

During a recent Valorant stream, Shroud talked about the game and hyped it up to the point where he has called it the best FPS game available right now.

Shroud calls Valorant to be the ‘best FPS on market right now’

During a recent stream, a fan asked Shroud about the game through his chat. The fan asked him whether Valorant was still worth playing even though it just turned a year old last month. The game has gained a lot of followers when it released because of its many features. This includes special abilities for its various agents and a highly reliable anti-cheat system in Vanguard.

Shroud later stated that Valorant is the best FPS game in the world right now. He currently places the game over the highly popular Valve title in CS:GO even though he started his career in it as a professional player. The Riot Games title has constantly received praise from the Twitch streamer.

“Literally the best FPS on market right now. It’s not even on market technically. You don’t even need to buy it. Just open it up.”

Why has Valorant gained so much acclaim?

Valorant has gained a lot of fans partially because of how the game is built for competitive. With a robust anti-cheat system and the constant backing from Riot Games, the developers have created a great Esports scene within a year. The game has already given rise to a lot of stars in its professional scene including players like TenZ.

Valorant has separated itself from the competition in creating an environment which gives advantages to players with a lot of skills. The developers also tweak their weapons constantly so none of them become quite meta in the game. Along with that, they also add new agents and skins through updates all the time to keep the game fresh.

It has only been a year since its release and Valorant seems to be getting stronger with each passing moment. While its competitors seem to fade into oblivion, the popularity only seems to be rising for the Riot Games title, and it’s probably going to stay that way for a long time.
