

The world’s most beautiful game recently had its biggest change involving its greatest player in Lionel Messi. Many consider the Argentine to be the sport’s best player possibly ever, and they have seen him flourish at the club and international level. He spent more than two decades playing for Spanish Football Club, FC Barcelona. However, his time in Spain has finally come to end.
He recently joined French football giants in Paris St. Germain for a free transfer after his contract with Barcelona ended. He will now join his former teammate in Neymar and French football star, Kylian Mbappe to form a legendary attack. However, this isn’t the only thing he has joined as the maestro has also entered the world of streaming for the first time. Well, almost.

Lionel Messi makes his first Twitch appearance
PSG announced the signing of Lionel Messi yesterday for the first time after his time at Barcelona ended. Following his exit from the club, a lot of rumors surrounded the footballing genius’s next move. Many considered it to be the French club as he would then reunite with his former teammate in Neymar. He last faced him during the finals of the recently held, Copa America, where Messi was victorious over the Brazilian. This allowed him to gain his first major international trophy.

Along with that, Messi also invited Spanish Twitch star Ibai who livestreamed his reveal event. During the stream, the Argentine even signed his new PSG shirt for Ibai, which officially became his first live appearance on the streaming platform. He stated that he was feeling hot and tired because of the weather, and he later gave his greetings to the people on Twitch. He also mentioned that he kept an eye on the platform even though he doesn’t have a massive idea about it.
“Sure, hey this is my first appearance in Twitch. I honestly don’t know much about it. But, hi to all the people watching this. I usually don’t participate but I follow it.”

Aguero calling Leo on stream
A lot of footballing stars including Neymar had joined the world of streaming during the pandemic. This also included Messi’s Argentine teammate in Sergio Aguero, who streams with other stars of the game. During one of his streams, he called Messi while playing on a GTA V RP server. The two of them had a regular chat which fans don’t see a lot. Leo even mentioned that he watched some of Aguero’s streams sometimes even though he didn’t understand the platform very well.

It’s very unlikely that Messi will ever join Twitch to stream like his other friends from the sport. However, fans of the little genius would love to see him showcase his footballing skills, or even his chops at Warzone. But more importantly, they want to see him play, and they will now see him tear the French league with a superteam in PSG.
