You cannot separate tennis from Serena Williams, but if her latest Instagram post is anything to go by, the 23-time Grand Slam champion could be a serious bet for a celebrity dance-off challenge as well.

While the tennis world has seen the entrepreneurial side of the American superstar, the latest video snatch that she has shared on Instagram bears ample proof that she can shake a mean leg when the urge seizes her.

In a departure from practice, Serena took to Instagram to share a moment from her pre-season training block in her backyard. The short video shows the American break into an impromptu jig after nailing two of her trademark forehands.

Coach, Venus Williams and Naomi Osaka comment on Serena’s video

The audio picks up a groovy number playing in the background and the American swaying her hips to it.

She even tagged the post with a cheeky comment, saying she hoped that watching the video her fans will know how serious she is about her training. “I was told I don’t share enough of my training. I hope this helps y’all know I’m serious,” Serena wrote.

The post drew more than 300,000 likes in no time and comments galore.

Among the ones to respond to her training video was sister Venus Williams, coach and world-renowned tennis mentor Patrick Mouratoglou, three-time Grand Slam winner Naomi Osaka, ramp queen Naomi Campbell, hip-hop star Ciara and millionaire investor husband Alexis Ohanian.

‘The Coach’ also seemed to suggest that Serena isn’t carrying the baggage of not having won a Grand Slam for three years straight, as the training video seems to suggest, and would head into the new season with a positive frame of mind. “Big upgrade for 2021. No doubt,” Mouratoglou wrote.

Her husband and Reddit co-founder Ohanian wrote, “Really happy I installed those outdoor speakers…” Venus and Osaka responded to the video with dancing and crown emoticons.
