Lewis Hamilton is known for winning awards both on and off the track. This time it wasn’t the drivers’ championship he took home but the Hawthorn Memorial trophy. It was the Knight’s eighth consecutive win. The award is named after Britain’s first world champion Mike Hawthorn who laid hands on the title back in 1958.
The Commonwealth driver who achieves exceptional results in Formula One gets to take home the prestigious award. It was revealed at the Royal Automobile Club in London during Motorsport UK’s Night of Champions event.
